A Face is coin that took a shape — and it can take its old shape again. Send one to the operator and it transforms: the Face returns to the ledger it came from, and the coin that minted it comes back to your wallet on-chain. The return settles a little after you send, carried in turn along the bridge — patient, not instant. You receive exactly what the mint cost, made whole. Nothing here is ever locked.
The Token
& The Mechanic
How can a normal token transfer carry a Face?
No NFT contract. No approval. No special wallet. A Face rides on top of an ordinary BNB Chain token transfer. Every ERC-20 transfer carries an amount — a 256-bit number. The Magic Amount Protocol (MAP) repurposes that number as a typed instruction: the top bytes name an operation, the bottom bytes name its argument. To the chain it is a normal transfer. To MAP it is a mint.
The opcode
The top bytes are the magic. One magic means MINT: send the transfer to the FENGSHUI mint address and the first wallet to ever target a given Face id wins it. That amount is the mint cost — collected at the mint address, and that real cost is what keeps mint-spam in check.
The coprocessor
A small program streams every transfer of the token, decodes the MAP-shaped amounts, and keeps a map of nft_id → owner. It runs without on-chain state. Anyone can run their own copy and check the ledger matches.
The explorer
The explorer is a window into one running coprocessor. Every row, Face page, and event is data decoded directly from BNB Chain — nothing is off-chain except the reading itself, which is generated for entertainment.
